Well, after cleaning for 3 straight days I have a really clean house but unfortunately no one wants to buy my really clean house. This is getting really depressing. My new house is getting painted this week and next and then I think we are going to take a break from building until we sell this house. Hopefully all will work out in the end but sometimes it is hard to wait.
So after the Open House that sucked we decided to go to the movies. There are so many movies this summer I want to see. it is kind of nice when there are PG or PG-13 movies out to even see. Sometimes it seems like there are only R rated movies in the theaters. So I have decided to do a little movie review for you. These are movies I have seen recently either at the theater or on DVD.
IRON MAN- (PG-13)
I absolutely LOVED this movie. I must say it was my hubby who really wanted to see this and I wasn't against it but it was so not my top choice. I am so glad we went!!! I highly suggest seeing it with your man, he will think you are going to a "guy" movie and sacrificing so much for him but actually you want to see it. Don't tell him I said that. :) It was action packed and funny and actually had a plot line. The last scene was my favorite. If you have not seen it I will not ruin it but if you have it is when he is in the press conference. AWESOME!!!!
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian- (PG)
We saw this movie on Saturday night with all the kids. I really liked it but I have read a few reviews that did not. I am a big fan of C.S. Lewis and remember reading all the Narnia books in Jr. High School. A few things to note before seeing it. First, about half way through the movie my husband made me recheck the tickets to see if it was rated PG -13. There was a lot of violence in it. Lots of war scenes with sword fighting a stuff like that. They didn't show bloody swords or anything but there was just a lot of it. There was also one part where the white witch was trying to have Prince Caspian break a spell to bring her back and there were these 2 characters that where nasty, ugly, scary looking. Tiffany turned her head into me and told me they were too scary. Second, it is a really long movie!!!! Over 2 hours long. You add the previews to the beginning and it is 2 1/2 hours in a theater. Tiffany did really well but just note how long it is. I recommend it for kids a little older, maybe 7 and over.
Dan in Real Life- (PG-13)
Okay I realize I am a little late seeing this movie. We watched it on Friday night. I am so sad that I waited so long to see it. It is just a really nice movie!!! No cussing or sex (although there were a few innuendos), just a Dad struggling to manage life after his wife dies. I highly suggest it!!!!!
Here are the movies I am dying to see this summer.
It is Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. I do not care if the movie is awful, I get to see Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones again. :)
I have yet to be disappointed at a Disney/Pixar movie. I think I am as excited a my kids are.

Jack Black just makes me laugh. Mu kids are counting down to when this one comes out. We will be on vacation we it does so they keep asking if we can see it in California. Yes kids they have theaters there too!!
I am a huge Edward Norton fan. I have been sad he hasn't made a movie a awhile. I never saw the Hulk movie that came out a few years ago, but this one I will be seeing.
I just saw the trailer for this movie when we saw Narnia. It is not rated yet but it doesn't look like it will be rated R. Will Smith is a great actor and he plays a superhero who refused to use his powers and then when he does he just messes things up. It looks funny.
I loved this show and Steve Carell is is too funny so unless someone really screw up this movie should be good!!
Yes I know this is not a summer movie but I am so freaking excited I had to put a countdown timer on the side of my blog. I think I need to read these books again. Not to mention her new book called "The Host". I have never wanted it to be December more in my entire life.
There is my list, if I missed any please let me know. It seems I am going to be living at the movie theater this summer. See ya at the movies!!

I SO HOPE you get a buyer soon.
Jon and Isaac are the movie people in our house. I'm a movie person, but not crazy-loony-need-to-see-it-on-the-first-day-its-out kind like them.
That said, I fully intend to see Walle on the first day. :)
Wait you actually have time to go to a movie with your husband??? I need to work on that. We tend to be movie renters who veg on the couch in pjs.
Good luck with the house, both of them. How is the building process? My mom has always wanted to build. Our house is SO old that we will be rebuilding! It will be awhile, such a process.
I hope you get a buyer soon...I know that's a stressful process. I just saw Baby Mama this weekend and it was so funny.
Good luck with selling. I'm so sick of trying to get mine sold.
My hubby wants me to see Iron Man, he took the boys and that's good enough for me.
I also really loved Dan in Real Life. Good clean and LOL!
I want to see all of those as well! I hope your house sells quickly. Word on the street is that the market is picking up a bit.
Wow. We just took the kids to see Speed Racer this weekend. It's a movie made for ten year old boys, everyone else was so-so on it.
I'm running too! Two days in a row for me. I want to lose 15 pounds. Let me know how you do.
Don't you wish we could always keep our house in 'selling shape'? Actually nah, that's too much work.
Good Luck! I hope you get an offer soon.
We saw Iron Man last weekend also. I thought it was great! (Except for the part where the theater had a power outage, and we had to wait 5 minutes for the film to come back on.)
DH and I rarely agree on the same movies, but we're planning on seeing Indiana Jones this weekend, and we will see Get Smart as soon as it is in the theaters.
I'm so glad there are some non-R rated movies in the theaters right now, and some that I will feel okay taking my kids to see them.
Good luck with your house!
That was a great movie reveiw. My hubby and I just saw Dan in Real Life and it was just a nice movie. I think my husband would fall over if I suggested Ironman. But I think I will.
That's such a bummer about your open house. At least you have a clean house, right? :) Kyle really wants to see IronMan. Maybe I'll agree to go with him now that I've read your review!
So sorry about your house. Maybe after the holidays people will be ready to get a new house. Yours!
I really think I need to go to the show with you. I would like to see all of your picks. I'll buy the popcorn.
So I know you get lots of advice when you sell a house so I will give you mine takeit or leave it but It worked for me on the first try. Forget baking cookies when someone comes to look at your house bake some roades rolls putthem on the counter with some butter and jam a little iced bottle of water in a bucket and walla!!! Also I put baby monitors all over the house ( yeah they don't know you don't have a baby) and then go over to the neighbors while they look at the place you will get the best feedback and can make adjustments accordinley ( is that how you spell that) I tell you what we sold in 22 days and I thought it would never happen,I tried the tricks above and got an offer. Let us know how it goes..
Loved loved loved Iron Man and Dan in real life, and I can't wait to see the new Indiana Jones and Don't even get me started on Twilight... It better be good, I need to read my books again before it come out..
My kids are most excited about Kung Fu Panda. I have heard GREAT things about Ironman, but we will probably wait til it is out on video since it is PG-13 and we don't wanna take the boys to see it. We saw a preview for a computer generated animation Star Wars clone wars movie and my Grant almost started jumping out of his seat.
KEEP BELIEVING
I'm really excited about seeing Iron Man. I want to make sure to see it on the big screen. And we saw Dan in Real Life last week on DVD, too. I loved it.
I hope you get a buyer soon! Hang in there. Thanks for the movie listing.

There are a ton of good movies out now, aren't there? How wonderful for families!
I hope that house sells soon - it's tough.
Hate that about the open house...boo.
But hey, thanks for doing all the leg work to pick out movies for me to see this summer! I appreciate it!! Now, I'll just have to sell a kidney to afford going!! :)
I'm so glad you did this. Good luck with your house. I bet you are so excited for your new one. I too cannot wait to see Twilight!
We don't go to the movies as much as I'd like, but we do seem to go a lot more in the summer - can't wait for that!
Have a good day - see you -Kellan
I saw Dan in Real Life not too long ago and LOVED it. My husband wanted me to go see Iron Man with him last weekend and I said no, now I am kicking myself in the butt for it. I have heard it is really great (and not such a guy movie after all).
I love to go to the movies, but rarely get a chance to do that these days! My husband saw Ironman and loved it! I love Robert Downey Jr., so I just want to see it for that reason! I went to see Made of Honor and loved it, even though it got bad reviews!! Oh well!
Iron Man was terrific and I agree Narnia was a bit too long but I thought it was great! THanks for the reviews now I really want to see Dan In Real Life!
we are going to go see indian jones tonight and I am so excited for Get Smart... I loved that show as a kid!
You will have to let me know if you actually even read this comment. I am reading host now. It is okay so far.
